Motha Goose Enterprises consists of micro businesses that are created, owned, and operated by youth. With guidance from mentors, participants in the program get to explore their entrepreneurial ideas and receive a percentage of donations given when fundraising for their product or service.
To help be more effective, we have teamed with American Legions Post 516 and 838 of Fort Worth, Texas.
At Post 516 we provide our Veterans with Motha Goose Veterans-Giving and Motha Goose Veterans-Christmas to ensure our Veterans have somewhere to eat and celebrate during the holidays. We are also in works of developing a nutrition program where Veterans can come and learn how to prepare healthy meals.
At Post 838 we have our annual Community Reunion in honor of September 11th. This community reunion is a family fun event filled with community leaders, law makers, services members, and citizens of the community.
All Motha Goose's youth are paired with a mentor that is in the same field they are pursuing as their brand. They also have access to events, workshops, and group sessions with our partnering service providers. As we continue to build bridges, we will add more support, events, programs, and resources to help combat the common issues of mental health, negative social influences, self esteem, and other relatable issues our Veterans and youth faces.
